Understanding leftover liquid in your Mounjaro pen

If you see liquid remaining in your pen after you have completed your doses, don’t worry—this is completely normal.
Here’s why:

• Each Mounjaro pen contains 3ml of liquid.
• Each dose is 0.6ml, meaning the pen delivers four doses in total.
• The pen holds slightly more than 2.4ml to allow for priming before each dose.
• After you’ve used all four doses, you may still see liquid in the pen. This is expected and does not mean your pen is faulty.

How do I order my next dose on the Online Clinic?

For all clinic treatments, you must submit another consultation. During your consultation, when you reach the treatment select page, please select the dose which relates to the titration path for your treatment.

You’ll usually increase to a 0.5mg dose after your first month. Your dosage may then increase further as your treatment continues, unless advised otherwise by one of our prescribers. 

Your For Mounjaro, yourstarting dose will begin with a 2.5mg injection once a week for the first month. You’ll usually increase to a 5mg dose after your first month. Your dosage may then increase further as your treatment continues, unless advised otherwise by one of our prescribers.

I am buying Wegovy injection. Will I qualify for free injection with my exemption card?

When you complete an online consultation and decide upon an appropriate course of treatment with our prescribers, we will issue the prescription and treatment in one. Rather than a prescription for you to get dispensed elsewhere, we will deliver the treatment to your home.

For Wegovy, you will receive 1 FlexTouch pen with 4 needles for each dose. Replace the needle after each injection. You can also select to add a sharps bin which you will use to dispose of the needles after each injection.

For Mounjaro, you will receive 1 KwikPen with 4 needles for each dose. Replace the needle after each injection. You can also select to add a sharps bin which you will use to dispose of the needles after each injection.

I’ve been purchasing weight loss injections elsewhere but I’d like to purchase from MyChemist24.

 How do I buy them from you instead? Do I need to provide anything?

I’m not sure if I’m injecting correctly. The liquid in the window isn’t going down.

The volume of liquid administered when using the first 0.25mg dose is very small so you may not notice a significant change in the amount of liquid in the window. Please ensure you follow all steps when administering your dose.

I’m taking weight loss injections but I’m due to go on holiday. Can I take it with me?

Should I leave it at home and resume my dose when I come back?

I’m experiencing side effects such as nausea from my weight loss treatments.

How do I treat them?

Side effects are completely normal, especially if you are new to the treatment. Common side effects include nausea and other stomach and digestion issues.

My Wegovy order only includes 1 pen and 4 needles.

Should I have 4 pens? Or is it just the one pen with 4 doses in?

Each Wegovy and Mounjaro pen contains 4 doses and so one pen will last for 28 days as it is one dose per week on the same day each week. There are four needles as a clean needle should be used for each dose.

My Wegovy has been delivered but delivery was delayed/it’s been left outside.

Is it ruined? Is it still safe to use?

I have not experienced any loss of appetite or many side effects yet from Wegovy or Mounjaro.

Should I continue or can I skip a dose?

We would recommend using weight loss treatments for at least 3 full months and sticking to the titration path before making a decision. Weight loss injections work by suppressing your appetite and we encourage you to eat less and reach for healthier options.

Using Wegovy or Mounjaro as part of a calorie controlled diet will help you in your weight loss journey. Adding in regular exercise can further enhance your weight loss. Using this approach should help you to see positive results. If you are not losing weight after 12 weeks of treatment, speak to one of our medical team to discuss other potential options.
